Youth Wrestling Program in partnership with Burke County High School.
Registration Information
Registration Opens: October 1st
Registration Deadline: November 12th
Ages: 5–14
Age Control Date: September 1, 2026
Registration Fee
$30 per participant
Registration includes a uniform and warm-up t-shirt.
Important: There are no exceptions to the age control date. Participants must compete in their correct age category.
What’s Included?
Burke County Recreation will provide:
- Uniform
- Warm-up T-Shirt
- Headgear
- Mouthpiece
Participants will need to provide their own wrestling shoes.
Program Information
This program is instructional in nature and is designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of wrestling in a positive environment.
The goals of the Youth Wrestling Program are to promote:
- Health and physical fitness
- Good sportsmanship
- Wrestling fundamentals
- A fun and worthwhile recreational experience
The Youth Wrestling season runs from November through February. Some travel will be required for out-of-town meets.

Some wrestling events may require a separate entry fee. These fees are not included in the Burke County Recreation Department registration fee.
Coaches
All coaches are required to complete a coach’s application.
